Celebrations

So the 13th (Tues.) was Eden's 1st birthday! We have a toddler now, no longer an 'infant'! A bitter-sweet feeling to me. But since I worked a 12 hr shift on Tuesday, we celebrated it the 11th (Sun). BUT, it was only a PRE-party. On the 24th (Saturday) we'll go to Logan and Elsie (her cousin) and Eden can celebrate their birthdays together!!! -did you catch all that?

And...last Sunday the Jeppsons visited us! Mike ran a half marathon in St. George and made time to come to our apartment. It was so nice of them. It reasonably excusable to drive on by since we'd be seeing each other in only another week; it made my heart happy! Peter is one of the kindest most polite 3 yr-olds I've ever met. He asked, "Aunt Becky, will you read me this book please?" I got distracted every other page, he was patient with me, never raised his voice, simply asked "will you read me this page please Aunt Becky?". His inquisitive mind never let mine rest. Nearly every page provoked a question: "Why did she spill popcorn on him?" No wonder kids need extra sleep, just to give their mind a rest, let alone their little bodies keeping up with our big ones! Eden and Elsie just happened to be wearing the same outfits that day! Eden and Elsie's interactions were minimal. It was obvious Eden was an only child and Elsie had a big brother. To put it simply, there were many tears from Eden. I hope this stage passes, so she can have more fun with her cousins!
