a scimmer...

Eden really enjoys Sesame Street, particularly "Elmo's World", as I'm sure many other toddlers of America do. I find his voice a little grating and don't like how he always refers to himself in 3rd person, but Eden enjoys it and there is some grown-up comedy in there to keep me happy too. I recently found a picture of the voice of elmo and it totally caught me off guard. I was not expecting a macho man....
We've been having a difficult time getting Eden to not cry during praying times. So we've come up with the "prayer pig". Just a stuffed animal that she only gets to hold while it's time to pray, and no it doesn't come to church. So now, the tears are mostly gone, and she mostly holds still...but I think the pig will have to leave soon, because she just wants to play with it rather than fold her arms. We did some spring cleaning this weekend, hoping to clear the place of the stale air that's been sitting all winter. Conveniently, it was also graduation weekend. That means people were trying to pawn stuff off. So we got a new couch AND entertainment center. We found a dime in the couch so we were paid to take it, and the TV stand was only 5 dollars, what a timely blessing! We posted our couch on craig's list for free, and not 60 seconds had passed when we had the first phone call. The next night it was taken away and the recipients gave us a thank you card and brownies, can you believe that! Thoughtful people. In most scenarios I would've been wary of the food but, it was delicious and we've suffered no side effects! We had a moment of silence for the lost couch, it was high in sentimental value. We enjoy the extra space the reclining love seat gives us though.

Oh ho, paid to take the couch! Good for you for finding a bargain wherever you look.

Double good for you for passing on help to someone else.

And...thank you for your kind words on my blog. I appreciate you.

Eden is lucky to have you and Micah for parents. One of the first tricks you learned was to fold you arms when we prayed. Well....sort of fold. You were tooo cute. You are a wonderful example for her.

Isn't Mr. Elmo a crack up?! I saw him on a tv show awhile back and about had to pick my jaw off the ground. I would never had thought! And congrats on your "new" stuff. What goes around, comes around.

Holy smokes! That made my day reading about Elmo.

What a great idea for praying. Both Eden and the pig are adorable!

You don't like how Elmo refers to himself in 3rd person!? Hahaha! Clara not only likes Sesame Street, she also has the tickle-me-Elmo and the new and improved talking Elmo! (Presents; it would have never crossed our minds to get her such toys!). When she plays wiht her "Elmo best friend" (that's how she calls him) it's all "Elmo loves you" "Uh-oh! can you pick Elmo up, please?" "Come closer to Elmo, Elmo wants to tell you that Elmo loves you. Do you love Elmo?" and so on and so forth.

I think that by now I just don't hear it anymore! Hahahaha! I love my Clara when she plays, even if it is with her Elmo.
