I appreciate when the construction outside my window begins at 6:30 and sounds like they are tearing down the wall of my home; because I have very little temptation to linger in bed doze the day away.
I appreciate when I'm given a notice to purge my apartment of it's belongings and vacate myself for the day so new carpet can be put in (which has a haunting likeness to the old carpet) and enjoy the smell of glue for a week afterwards; because when else do you get to scream around your home's shell playing the game 'echo'?!
I appreciate when my daughter decides she's too good for bread crust, because now I get to cut it off and turn her sandwiches into fun shapes.
I appreciate having a hard time saying no, because then I get to host book shows where I end up buying too many beautiful books.

I appreciate a daughter who teaches me to appreciate!!!
That is a great perspective Becky!
Well I appreciate you and your optimism! Way to have a positive perspective on the carpet change! :)
You know, I think I could learn a thing or two from you. Thanks for the eye opener.
Way to be optimistic! I have been grumbling about the construction all week, SO glad its finally done. (I hope!)
Aaaarrrggghhh. The books. I totally forgot about that. I even checked out the website and there were a couple I had my eyes on. Sigh. Let me know if you ever do it again! By the way, love this post. I'll have to try the old looking at the cup half full this week.
