Well, it depends on how many people means "the world." I mean, I'm sure there are people that Ghandi or Hitler hasn't affected, but I also wouldn't say they didn't change the world. Maybe the world is 100 or a city or all your posterity. I definitely think you can change at least someone's world forever.
This makes me think of the whole concept that by small means the Lord is able to bring about great things. It's amazing to think of how much an obscure farm boy from Palmyra, NY in the mid 1800's has affected our world. I think if we look at things as a trickle-down effect we can influence people and that influence can spread. Random thoughts for you...
Tough question. I'd agree with the trickle down method. Happiness is contagious. In some ways I think it is becoming easier to change the world, because our circles of influence are expanding with the emergence of the digital world. While I don't think one person, beside Christ eventually, will every effect every person on the earth, but I think we influence more people than we ever realize.
