So the next week of traveling has over 300 pictures capturing our adventures; so, here goes.....Buckle up, here we go, we're OFF, "adventure is out there!" We are heading to Pacific City, OR for a 'Brown Beach Bonanza'. Micah's parents recently came home from a two year mission in Japan and a reunion was in call!
We decided to split the 16 hours into two days, so we found a hotel half way. When we came into the room, Eden was asking what we were doing there. I explained that we were staying the night and she got really excited. She starting running around the room and pointed at things saying: "This lamp is mine?" "This chair is mine?" "This TV is mine?" Then, "This bed is mine?" "no" I answered, "that's mine and Dad's bed". She was a little dissapointed that the HUGE bed wasn't hers and asked where she was going to sleep. Right on cue, the service brought in her crib on wheels. She was soooo excited. Here's a video of us getting ready to go swimming, not a great video, but to demonstrate some of her enthusiasm.
It was the first time she actually tried to swim and enjoyed the water. I think because there wasn't a ton of other kids splashing around. It was SO HOT. So we walked over to the Dairy Queen and got ice cream. Eden was ecstatic that her cone was dipped into a PINK/red flavor! So this was definitely the start of our vacation. Our first motel experience.

Sounds like she had a blast! If only I had as much enthusiasm for hotels. I would sure enjoy my stays a lot better. Everytime I walk in, I just think of how many people have done the same, especially when I find a toe/fingernail in my bed. Sometimes ignorance truly is bliss. I would have loved to see little Eden so excited.
What a summer the 3 of you have had. Thanks for letting us be a part of it!!!
