Fight for freedom

I was out sitting wrapped up in my blanket content swapping away flies and wrapping my blanket tighter and tighter around my skin out in the country. I had my eyes peeled trying to find a firework. I love listening to the frogs and the crickets.  I could occasionally hear the booms and the cracks and see distant lights.  Then I saw this!  It was the cities firework show!

Then my dad hollered out the window watch out for the Heffalumps or Woozles or dogs or badgers that just broke the fence.  So gladly this year I didn't watch them in the wheelchair but just for about as long, maybe 10 minutes.  It. Truly was a happy Independence Day
