Our family has caught a little head cold the last week. Nothing serious, just feel crummy enough to not want to do much. As I've been getting better, Eden's just catching it; good timing in my opinion. The last few days have tried my patience, and I find myself taking a big sigh at the end of the day. 2 nights ago, I put the baby to sleep, pulled up some of my favorite soft tunes, and had hot chocolate with a lot of marshmallows. That's one of my favorite unwinding activities. I remember many Saturday nights in high school: after coming home late, listening to NPR's smooth jazz and drinking hot chocolate out of grandma's cup and saucer heirloom.
But last night, I HAD to get out of the house. We went to an arcade, complements of Andrea Despain (THANKS!), We played "Dance Revolution" and "Deal or no Deal" our favorites. When Eden was brand new, we'd stay up with her and watch Deal or no Deal and enthusiastically pretend like we were really playing, in whispered voices.
