2 of my favorite things

FIRST: CHoColate:
I love to even hear the word!
I like the movie "chocolat" in part of the frequent refrences and video angles of chocolate.
Another movie I enjoy for the same reason is Willy Wonka, but in much smaller doses.
Micah says the word "chocolate" with the 'c' kind of in the back of his throat, and it practically hypnotizes me!
Yesterday I made "THE cake", as my family makes reference to it. It has multiple names, the only other one I dare record is "skor bar cake". It is so tantalizing (excites the senses) and some would describe it as rich; but, as Michelle and I say "rich? what's that?".
After Eden was born, I couldn't have chocolate for an arduous 4 months, or she would be terribly colicky. But THE cake was the first whip of chocolate I had afterwards.
Well, what causes me to reflect on my love of chocolate is a new chocolate bar we stumbled on. Milka. Micah ate it in Bulgaria and has in the past made several mentions of it's tastefulness. While grocery shopping at Smith, a light came beaming down from the skys upon this marvelous chocolate bar. Micah snatched a couple up and after tasting it, yes, it was worth all the praise (and moneys). On the wrapper it says "made in Germany". If you come across it, I'd highly recommend giving it a lick!

SECOND: BLANKETS
specifically, home-made, with TLC sewn in.
My collection begins with my childhood. 8 years old? It was a Christmas gift from my mother. Red on one side, personified animals in a city on the other. I told Micah when he would be marrying me, he'd be marrying the blanket as well. Thankfully he accepted us. ;) Every time, I snuggle with a home-made blanket, I just feel secure and loved. Our closet over flows, but I don't think I'll ever be able to get rid of ONE. I have blankets sewn/crocheted/gifted from cousin Sarah, Aunt Peggy, the Walkers, Aunt Anita, multiple from Mother, and most recently, sister-in-law Haven. The photos are of Haven's which we recently received in the mail. She has AMAZING talents. Aren't they beautiful? Look at the Detail!

I have to agree, I love a wonderful blanket and have a few very special ones myself. I love a warm blanket right out of the dryer and a good book or movie don't you? See you in a couple of days!!!

This was a great post!! I miss chocolate still, but I think it's absence may help my waist-line. At least I can still enjoy my blankets!!!!

Milka is Jordon's favorite chocolate bar too!! He ate it in Hungary and has introduced me to its wonders as well. Enjoy!

I call it better than sledding cake. Is that the kind your refering to? Anyway. I love chocolate. I've been fortunate enough to be able to eat chocolate without Baylee being colicky, but my hips would probably have been better off with that excuse... Those are beautiful blankets!
