Homemaking update

If you'll recall a past post, I've been trying to get my house looking like a "home". With the new year we did out with some of the old and in with some new! We bought a rug which seems to be softening our cinder block, and a piece of fabric to frame a couple of decorative pieces. I'm learning textures help enhance the feeling.

Awesome!! I love the rug!! I've given up on decorating around the house to make it look like the home I want it to. Zach doesn't seem to care (as long as there's food and a spot to sit and read), and Jacen would just prefer to have his toys everywhere. Great job on making your house a home!!! You've got more 'stick-to-it'-ness than I do!!!

That rug is SO cool! I love it!

I need to invest myself into some home decor. After three years hour home still looks like a house. Yikes.

Becky, your house looks amazing!
I think you do a great job. I felt very at home when your apartment was my temporary home! :) (and that was pre-rug era)

I LOVE your rug...and you're so right, textures help. I'd never thought of that. Thanks for the tip.
